Are You Snowed In?

Hey, Neighbor! I hope you were able to enjoy the snow we got on Monday! For some of us, however, the snow has presented some major challenges, primarily due to the fact a lot of the roads are still not plowed and sidewalks are still covered!

According to the City, a Phase Two snow emergency was declared, meaning that:

  • Emergency Routes will be passable within 30 hours of the end of snowfall;

  • Connector Routes will be made passable within 42 hours of the end of snowfall; and

  • Neighborhood roads will be made passable within 66 hours of the end of snowfall.

If your street has yet to be plowed or is in need of additional plowing, please contact the City to make them aware by “Reporting a Problem” at this link.

As a reminder, sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner. Please make sure your sidewalk is clear and if you need help clearing your sidewalks, let me know!

Eastport needs to be safe and accessible and I will continue to make the City aware of these issues until they are resolved. Please don’t hesitate to text, call, or email me if you need help or have any questions.

Additionally,
starting the week of January 27th, I will be making myself available to you for impromptu chats over coffee throughout the neighborhood. More information to follow, but I look forward to the discussions!

Thank you and stay safe!
